Mass Save Residential New Construction rebates
If you are building a new single family or multi-family home, this incentive program is a no-brainer. Don't be put off by the administrative requirements. We will hold your hand through the entire process until you receive a nice check. A certified HERS rating is required in addition to sections 2 and 4 of the Energy Star Thermal Enclosure System Rater Checklist. We have an introduction to this checklist here.
As a Certified HERS Rater, we are approved to deliver the following incentives through the Mass Save Residential New Construction Program.
Rebates are based on modeled energy savings, calculated from our HERS rater software.
Rebates are calculated as follows:
Participant Incentive = A * kWh + B * MMBu + C * %Savings
A= $0.35/kWh B= $35/MMBtu C= $3,000 single family project (1-4 Units) = $2,000 multifamily (5+ units)
Program requirements are detailed in the 2019 Terms and Conditions Application .
Mass Save Mechanical System rebates
For new construction, mechanical system rebates are bundles into the ‘Pay for Savings’ total project rebate.
System rebates may be available through other programs, such as the MassCEC. However applicants should be aware of 'double dipping' in more than one Mass Save program.
Contact us for a full overview of incentives as they pertain to your project.
